About Us

Ulster Tyre Company first opened its doors on January 1st 1978. It is a privately owned company by husband and wife team Joe and Brighid McGinley.

Joe and Brighid have both spent their professional careers dedicated to the tyre trade. Their knowledge and hard work have seen the company grow substantially in the 30 years the company has been trading.

The original premises were located "the other side of the bridge" in Ballybofey, then a few years later, they relocated to Letterkenny Road - to their new custom built facility. Their location has not changed since.

New stores were added in the early eighties and a substantial extension was added in the mid nineties. This brings the storage capacity to over 60,000 square feet.

Ulster Tyres Letterkenny branch was opened in the mid eighties and is located on the Port road in a key location.

It has catered for the motoring needs of the towns folk ever since. It is managed by Raymond Gallagher. He has over twenty years experience in the trade, and continues to provide an excellent service for all who visit our branch in Letterkenny.
